The Mandalorian e Watchmen dominam indicações ao Emmy 2020; veja outros indicados

Foram revelados os indicados ao Emmy 2020 e dois nomes parecem ter dominado a premiação. São eles Watchmen e The Mandalorian, duas das séries mais populares do momento.

Enquanto a primeira foi a recordista em indicações, a série de Star Wars se destacou mais nas categorias técnicas, o que era esperado, mas também concorre na categoria principal da premiação.

Apesar de ter sido cancelada pela HBO logo após sua primeira temporada, Watchmen conseguiu ao todo 26 indicações, incluindo categorias importantes, como Melhor Ator Principal em Série ou Filme, com Jeremy Irons, Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em Série ou Filme, com Jean Smart, e Melhor Série Limitada.

Já a produção do Disney+ promete dominar as categorias mais técnicas, geralmente envolvendo efeitos especiais, som e maquiagem. No entanto, também chama a atenção por estar concorrendo como Melhor Série de Drama, um dos pontos altos da premiação.

A 72ª edição do Emmy está programada para o dia 20 de setembro, com o apresentador Jimmy Kimmel no comando. Ainda não se sabe se a cerimônia será presencial ou virtual, por conta da pandemia de covid-19.
